Product Evaluation?

We decided to put our new Rancho 2.5" lift to the test up at Big Bear Lake on one of the hardest parts of the Jeep Jamboree route - 3N10.

The lift and the TJ performed very well, thanks to the EZ locker up front and Detroit locker in the rear (installed by Custom Truck Warehouse, in Victorville, CA). Articulation was increased with JKS Swaybar Quick-Disconnects. Traction was maintained with Edelbrock IAS Performer shocks, which offered a much better ride than stock - or even aftermarket - shock absorbers.

Extra room was obtained with the use of the Trail Rack from Garvin Industries, which held our camping supplies and Hi-Lift Jack. Airing down was made easy with the Trailhead Automatic Tire Deflators from Oasis Manufacturing. A few extra horsepower were squeezed from our 2.5L with the help of a Gibson Cat-Back exhaust, K&N Filter, and Flex-A-Lite twin electric cooling fans (powered by an Optima Yellow-Top battery). Our front lights escaped damage thanks to light-guards from Sun Performance Products. Music was provided through Tuffy Security Speaker Boxes. The wheels shown here are American Racing AR36's.
