Too Much Fun!

If you didn't make it to Camp Jeep near Vail, Colorado, this year, start planning now to make sure you get to go in 1999!

What is Camp Jeep? Every year, DaimlerChrysler invites all Jeep owners to Camp Hale, Colorado, to learn more about their vehicle. There are technician round-table discussions, trail rides, accessory booths, and even activities for the kids. If you or your spouse get bored, there is mountain biking, fly-fishing, rock-climbing, and of course, lots of food.

The primary theme for Camp Jeep this year was the new for '99 Grand Cherokee WJ.

Completely remodeled, the WJ is sure to steal the hearts of many SUV drivers, and will surely turn the heads of current Grand Cherokee owners.

Inside, luxury appointments are more apparent than ever, while under the hood lurks either the redesigned 4.0L I-6, or the all new 4.7L V-8.

The all new 4.7L V-8.
Cutaway highlights the changes made to the 1999 Grand Cherokee.
New interior feels much roomier than its predecessor.

For more information on the 1999 WJ, check out Grants article here.

DaimlerChrysler's historical display left a lot of die-hard Jeep fans drooling.

Our favorite part of Camp Jeep was of course the trail ride. After you select the difficulty level and duration (you have the choice of a full or half day ride), DaimlerChrysler selects a trail for you. We chose the Hidden Canyon full day trail, which has a moderate, or blue diamond, rating. The first three pictures were taken at 12,000 feet!
