Stuck in a Rut? The Mile Marker Winch 10,500Lb winch might be just what you need!
Hydraulically powered, these winches won't drain your battery like other winches. Also,
with both High and Low ranges, this winch can get you out of the deepest and darkest
holes.
Comments: It sure is nice not to have to dig myself out when I get stuck in the sand! I found a
little stretch of beach along a creek, and sure enough I got stuck. I could have
wasted 30 minutes with the shovel, and maybe ended up grenading a U-joint or something
in the process. Instead, I just spooled out the cable, hooked it to the tree-saver
and viola'! In under 5 minutes of winching, I covered 50' of sand, uphill. So far,
this is the second stuck this Mile Marker Winch has gotten me out of (the first was
in mud). For a wide range of winching applications, you just can't beat a Mile Marker Winch!
2 Months Later...
Well, the Mile Marker winch has been on for a little over 2 months now. The rescue tally is:
- Myself 2 times
- 1 TJ
- 3 Toyotas
- 1 TJ Rollover
I must say the winch has performed flawlessly. In all of these
instances, without the assistance of the winch it would have been a
long day! In most cases, high-speed worked great, Though low-speed had a definite advantage
while righting a rolled TJ. The control of low-speed allowed me to ease the TJ back onto
all-fours, rather than smashing it to the ground. This Mile Marker Winch is tough!
Evaluation:
An excellent alterative to electric winches. Very strong. Moderate install.
