Project Manager: Grant

It helps to start a project with a predetermined idea of what you would like to accomplish with your vehicle. Do you want to build the dedicated weekend rock hound, or do you just want to make sure you don't get stuck on your way to work with a foot of snow on the streets? The end result for either vehicle would obviously be much different. The goal for this Cherokee is to try and split the difference.

The idea is to build a Cherokee that is very comfortable to drive on the highways 200 miles a week to and from work, but much more capable than the average SUV off road. To that end, modifications that adversely affect it's handling on pavement will be kept to a minimum, while making every attempt to gain off road capability. We want to be able to drive a thousand miles in comfort to a Jeep Jamboree and be able to take on some of the more challenging trails once we get there. One modification at a time, we'll work toward achieving this practical compromise.
