Talk about "built on a budget"! We traded this 1959 Willys CJ5 straight across for a 386 home computer. Sure, we threw in a dot matrix printer and 14" monitor, but we still think we got the better end of the deal...

We haven't really decided what to do with it yet; restore it or build it up? Our first plan leaned toward restoration, with a few unseen modifications hiding here and there. Now, however, we seem to be leaning toward a V-6 swap, and a few other goodies. What do you think? Let us know!

Okay, so it has been determined that a restoration of this Jeep won't be feasible or maybe even possible. With extreme frame damage, we turned to Matkins Extreme for a replacement. We've also ordered new fenders from Turner 4WD Parts, a new speedo cluster from Gemini Sales, and a new dash assembly from Olympic 4X4 Supply to replace other unusable parts.

Our Matkins frame will accept newer YJ suspension parts, saginaw steering, and will be prepared to accept just about any motor we want to throw at it, space willing.

For asthetics, we shall use Herculiner to protect the entire body, inside and out. Suspension, motor, wheels and tires, and top are yet to be determined.
