my Jeeping is when I took a 2nd place trophy in the street eliminator class at Oxford Plains
Dragway's 2nd annual 'Night of Thunder' back in '98. I'm currently saving my pennies for an

James Matteo's 1948 CJ2A Serial #164348
"This Jeep was restored approximately 15 years ago by and older gentleman who did
an excellent job. Unfortunantly, he passed away before he was able to finish a beautiful
soft top so that's where I'm going to start. From close inspection of the body, this Jeep
was probably in rough shape before restoration. The odometer has 49,000 orginal miles and
the Jeep is basically stock. Thankfully, it was converted to a 12-volt system during the
restoration as I am very unfamiliar with points and hear they're a bugger to keep up. The
2A currently has a windshield from a 3A and the tire is mounted on the tailgate instead of
the side. I'm going to try to find an original 2A windshield, but the 3A size and stoutness
are growing on me. Brakes and 2nd gear synchro are a little rough but everything else is
immaculate including the "Firecracker Red" paint job. I'm going to spend this winter (man, I
wish it was spring) going over everything, checking seals, replacing all fluids, etc. I plan
on keeping the Jeep as is now and enjoying the stares and conversations that ensue during the
summer months....the perfect reason to buy a flat fender."

Jim Karasiniski's 1980 CJ-5
Jim's CJ-5 has a Warn 8000lb winch, full-cage rollbar, side body bars, 2 gas cans, spare
tire, and cooler rack (all of these were fabricated by myself), and a stock Iron Duke 4cyl
(for now!) motor.
"My plans for this spring are to pull the motor/tranny/transfer and swap in a fresh 350
4-speed and adapt the Dana 300. It currently rides on 33x12x15 Super Swampers, has a 4-inch
suspension lift, and a 2-inch body lift. Future plans include: Paint, lockers, gearing change,
and anything else my wife will let me do!" - Jim
