Rich Schaefer's 1983 CJ7

Rich Schaefer's 1983 CJ7

Rich's CJ is still being built up, but right now it has a Wrangler tub, a 4.0L motor swapped in, 28" tires, SS brakelines, Durabak'd interior, fresh, home-done paint job (not shown), 4.11 gears, a rear LSD, and one piece Moser axles waiting to go into the pumpkins. The Jeep was stripped to the frame, which was ground and brushed clean before getting coated with Coroless (an anti-rust coating for off-shore oil rigs). Plans for the winter include a Warn 3" lift kit and new 33" tires. Preferably the new Goodyear MT/R's (whenever they come out).

Michael Horner's 1985 CJ7

Michael's CJ is powered by a somewhat unusual engine: A 1990 Ford fuel-injected 302 H.O. Behind the engine is a T-176 4-speed and a Dana 300 transfer case with the stock Dana 30 front and Model 20 rear w/ Moser Engineering axles. It rides on a Rancho Suspension 3" lift and RS5000 shocks and uses BFG 33x12.50x15 Mud T/A's around American Racing AR-767 wheels. The interior has also been modified with a hand-built and powder-coated dash with Stewart Warner gauges, custom seats, Magellan GPS, Cobra CB, and AM/FM CD player for tunes on the trail.

Michael is a member of Jeeps of North Texas (a Jeep oriented club in North Texas).
